I think they have an active bunch of user groups. I went to the AIR bus tour, and it was sad that there were as many out-of-towners as there were locals. I'm looking for a group to put some effort and time into, this looks like a promising one but the meeting time will hardly ever work with me. Flash got bad rap in its early days as being too bloated, slow, search engine-unfriendly, not OOP, etc......but that has all changed with AS3. And now we have 3D technologies...Papervision3D, Away3D, AIR... and Adobe is making some great moves by making their technologies open source... I think its exciting times for AS3 and I commend your efforts to kick-start interest in the technology within the area (I'm including KC in that area) We Missourians got to stick together. ;) Don't know how many meetings I'll be able to attend for awhile, but I'll be bookmarking this site and hope to participate in the Forums.
